Science Direct is a full text electronic journals service, giving access to over 2500 journals and over 6,000 e-books, reference works, book series and handbooks published by Elsevier. The articles are grouped in four main sections:
1. Physical Sciences and Engineering,
2. Life Sciences, Health Sciences
3. Social Sciences and
4. Humanities.
                                                        For most articles on the website abstracts are freely available; access to the full text of the article (in PDF, and also HTML for newer publications) requires a subscription or pay-per-view purchase.

How to access sciencedirect (Accessing Science Direct):

Most electronic resources require you to login with your Campus ID and Password. (From 1 August 2008, this replaces Athens as the primary method of accessing online resources).There are a few different ways for ScienceDirect users to access subscribed content on ScienceDirect .

On Campus Access:- One can  gain access directly while on campus without  any need to use your  ID and password
Off  Campus Access:-You will need to use your Campus ID and password to access Science Direct from off campus. You can also use your Campus ID to set up personal current awareness alerts, which will enable you to stay up to date with what is being published in your area. 

Connecting to Science Direct
From the Library's home page, click on Resources from the blue menu at the top of the screen.
Click on e-journals in the left-hand menu.
Click on Full-Text Collections.
Scroll down the page and click on Sciencedirect
